Dutch 'Persoonsbewijs' from De Bilt

Description

Dutch 'Persoonsbewijs' (Civil Identification Card). The Dutch 'Persoonsbewijs' was an identity card that was introduced by the Dutch secretaries general at the insistence of the German occupying forces during the Second World War. In April 1941, all Dutch people aged fifteen and older were required to hold an identity card. This ID-card belonged to 'Gijsbert Vonk' from the city of De Bilt and was issued to him on 9 October 1941. The card has been perforated. The archive of the Labour Deployment states that Gijsbert Vonk was in Germany during or shortly after the Second World War. This may have been because of Forced Labour Deployment. Nice original ID Card in good used condition!
