Dutch 'Schalkhaar' Police Tunic Grouping
Wartime Dutch 'Schalkhaar' Police Tunic Grouping consisting of the field tunic (Veldtenue), breeches, visor cap and a period pair of black leather boots. The 'Schalkhaar' Police was a Police unit during the war, named after the place Schalkhaar near Deventer. In Schalkhaar was the training facility of the unit. This unit was controlled by the Dutch NSB (Nationaal Socialistische Beweging) movement. The tunic is an original pre-war Dutch police tunic, dated 1937, the tunic has been reissued by the 'Schalkhaar' police during the war and comes with original wartime type Schalkhaar police buttons and (replaced) collar tabs and shoulder boards. The visor cap is a German made visor cap, the chin-strap is a post-war replacement. The trousers are a period pair of unmarked black breeches. See photos for more details. This set originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!

Vooroorlogse Marechaussee Tuniek Groepering bestaande uit de uniformjas (Veldtenue), rijbroek, pet en een paar leren laarzen. De 'Schalkhaar Politie' was een politie eenheid ten tijde van de oorlog. Deze was genoemd naar de plaats Schalkhaar waar de opleidingsschool zich bevond (bij Deventer). Deze politie eenheid werd grotendeels gecontroleerd door de NSB (Nationaal Socialistische Beweging). De uniformjas is een vooroorlogse Politie uniformjas uit 1937 welke is doorgebruikt in de oorlog door de Schalkhaar politie, de jas is compleet met originele oorlogse Schalkhaar politie type knopen en (herplaatste) kraagspiegels en schouderstukken. De pet is een Duits geproduceerde pet, het kinriempje is een naoorlogs vervangen exemplaar. De broek is een periodieke zwarte rijbroek. Bekijk de foto's voor meer details.
