1st Pattern Step-in type Luftwaffe Paratrooper Smock (Fallschirmschützenbluse) also known as 'Knochensack'. This is a rarely seen first pattern step-in type smock, made of the typical early green fabric (grünmeliert). The smocks were designed to fit over the standard service uniform and are therefore quite large. It is complete with all original 'Rapid' marked zippers, one zipp has been damaged and is not functional anymore, see photos. The smock is not visible maker marked or dated, it however dates around 1940. The smock has been period shortened, the legs have been shortened, it is however still a step-in type smock, see photos. The breast-eagle has been replaced once. The smock is showing normal traces of usage/staining and some small damages, see photos for details. The smock is in overall good used condition. Early step-in smocks are hardly ever offered for sale and one of the rarest types of smocks to find. Hard to find desirable original early combat worn Fallschirmjäger smock!
