NSDAP Policital Leader's Tunic (Dienstrock für Politische Leiter) as intended for a 'Gau Haupteinsatzleiter'. Brown wool construction tunic with a four button front closure, the tunic has four pockets. The buttons are the gold pebbled type, marked with RZM M5/71, and appear to have their original stitching. There are award loops stitched to the wearer's left breast-pocket for wear of 3 awards and a ribbon-bar. There is a set of award-loops to the wearer's right breast pocket as well. The tunic comes together with a 'Deutsches Feld-Ehrenzeichen', a WW1 Wound Badge in Black and a WW1 Iron Cross 1st Class. The Iron Cross 1st Class is nicely maker marked with 'WS' indicating production by the company of 'Walter Schott' from Berlin. A red woolen Political Leader's Armband as intended for a 'Gau Leiter einer Stelle' is sewn to the wearer's upper left sleeve. The red velvet construction collar tabs are piped with dark-red cord piping, having an eagle, gold braid and three rank-pips attached indicating the rank of 'Gau Haupteinsatzleiter'. The tunic is fully lined in tan/brown rayon and is ink-stamped '48' indicating the size. There is a nice RZM etiket stitched in the inner-pocket. The tunic comes together with a matching pair of woolen NSDAP breeches as found together. Both the tunic and breeches are in good only slightly worn condition with some minor (moth)damage, see photos. Very rare and hard to find original NSDAP Gau-Level Political Leader's tunic!
