Description

Royal Dutch Navy Dagger (Marine Ponjaard M1880). Belonged to the standard equipment of a midshipman in the Royal Dutch Navy, the model was introduced around 1880. The double edged blade is in used condition showing nice etchings, the ricasso is nicely maker marked by the company of 'P. Mansvelt & Zoon' from 's Gravenhage. The blade is showing some surface pitting. The dagger is having a nice original undamaged white celluloid grip. The dagger is complete with its original gilded brass scabbard. The cross guard is marked with the unique service number "383". The dagger is in good used condition. Scarce original Dutch Navy Dagger!
