KdF 'Gau Franken 1936-1937' Tinnie (Veranstaltungsabzeichen). The Kdf "Kraft durch Freude" (Strength through Joy) was a large state-operated leisure organization in Nazi Germany. It was a part of the 'DAF' (German Labour Front), the national German labour organization. Set up as a tool to promote the advantages of National Socialism to the people, it soon became the world's largest tourism operator of the 1930s. The lightweight aluminum tinnie is showing cross-country skier. The tinnie is not visible maker marked. The tinnie has a functional pin-back device to its reverse. Scarce decorative original tinnie in good condition!
