German Red Cross Medal (Medaille des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes), 1937-1939. The 1937-1939 DRK awards recognized loyal service in the DRK. The enamelled medal is showing the red cross on a white ring with a DRK eagle to its center. Reverse script reads 'für Verdienste um das Deutsche Rote Kreuz'. The medal is in overall very good condition, the details on the piece are really pronounced and stunning. The medal is period mounted on a special ribbon for women (Damenschleife) having a safety-pin sewn to its reverse. The medal comes together with a special female type ribbon-bar. Scarce original set in very good condition!
