Description

Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze). The Infantry Assault Badge in bronze was introduced on 1 June 1940 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of Motorized Infantry units with the same criteria for award as the silver badge; participation in in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Feinzink' and still retains a fair amount of its original bronze finish. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'JFS' indicitating production by the company 'Josef Feix & Söhne' in Gablonz an der Neiße. Nice original example in good used condition!
