Tank Destruction Badge in Silver (Sonderabzeichen für das Niederkämpfen von Panzerkampfwagen durch Einzelkämpfer) or also called 'Panzervernichtungsabzeichen'. The award was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 9 March 1942 and was awarded to individuals of the Wehrmacht who single-handedly destroyed an enemy tank with a handheld-weapon like the Panzerfaust. Complete with all three prongs, metal backing plate and protective backing cloth. Nice original example in good, clearly worn and tunic removed, condition!
