Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser). The 'HJ Fahrtenmesser' (Hike/Camp knife) was introduced in early 1933. The magnetic type knife has black molded diamond grooved bakelite grips, the obverse grip has an imbedded enameled HJ diamond. The knife comes with its original magnetic sheet metal scabbard, the scabberd retains most of its original black paint and shows normal traces of usage. The leather belt loop is present and complete with the small leather retaining strap. The blade unfortunately is in heavily used/rusted condition, see photos. This knife was recently found in a house-cleaning together with a postcard an offered as found. Overall still a nice original HJ dagger in heavily used condition for a fair price!
