Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser). The 'HJ Fahrtenmesser' (Hike/Camp knife) was introduced in early 1933. The zinc type knife has black molded diamond grooved bakelite grips, the obverse grip has an imbedded enameled HJ diamond. The knife comes with its original magnetic sheet metal scabbard, the scabberd lost most of its original black paint and shows normal traces of usage. The leather belt loop is present and complete with the small leather retaining strap. The blade is in good used condition. The transitional blade is double marked with 'RZM M7/40' and maker marked by the company of 'Hartkopf & Co' from Solingen. Overall a nice original HJ dagger in good used condition!
