NSKOV Gorget
'Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung' (NSKOV) Gorget (Ringkragen). The 'Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung' was established in 1930 and was a social welfare organization for seriously wounded veterans as well as frontline fighters of World War I. Aluminum breast shield with in its center a bronze star shield having an NSKOV emblem attached to the center. The two ornate buttons in the corner that secure the clips for the chain are in place. The full-length original chain is present. The back of the plate is regrettably missing the woolen backing. The gorget is showing clear traces of usage and some small damages caused by oxidation, see photos. Rare and decorative original example which has been priced accordingly to its condition!
