Wehrmacht 'Feldgendarmerie' Gorget
Wehrmacht 'Feldgendarmerie' Gorget (Ringkragen). Kidney-shaped magnetic steel breast-shield/gorget having an army style eagle emblem attached to the center, above a banner with the script "Feldgendarmerie", a pebbled button is attached in each upper tip of the shield. The separately attached parts are showing a luminous yellow paint, allowing them to glow in the dark for identification at night. The back of the gorget is still having its original brown carton backing. One side of the chain is fixed, the other side the chain would have been attached to a tab. A second tab was used to slip through a button hole on the uniform to keep the gorget in place. Unfortunately both tabs have been broken and are missing, see close up photos. The gorget is not visible maker marked. The gorget is showing normal traces of usage and is in overall good used condition. There is some surface rust, see photos. Despite the damage still a nice original example which will look great in display as can be seen in the last picture!
This gorget originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
Wehrmacht 'Feldgendarmerie' Borstschild (Ringkragen). Half-rond magnetisch stalen borstschild met in het midden een heeres stijl adelaar bevestigd boven een banner met de tekst "Feldgendarmerie", in elke punt een gepebbelde knoop. De apart bevestigde delen zijn allemaal behandeld met een lichtgevende gele verf, dit voor een glow-in-the-dark effect om ook in het donker zichtbaar te zijn. De achterkant van het borstschild is compleet met zijn originele bruine kartonnen bescherming. De ketting is aan één zijde vast gezet, aan de andere zijde zit deze normaliter aan een haak, een tweede haak was bedoeld om het borstschild mee in een knoopsgat vast te zetten tijdens het dragen. Helaas zijn beide haken afgebroken en niet meer aanwezig, zie detail foto's. Het schild is niet zichtbaar maker gemarkeerd. Het borstschild vertoont normale gebruikssporen en is in goede gebruikte staat. Er is wat lichte roest, zie foto's. Ondanks de schade nog steeds een mooi origineel exemplaar welke er prima uit kan zien in display zoals te zien is op de laatste foto!
Dit borstschild is afkomstig uit de collectie van het onlangs gesloten Eyewitness Museum en was voorheen te zien in het diorama dat wordt getoond in de laaste foto!
