Wehrmacht Officer's Sword
Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Sword/Saber (Säbel für Offiziere). The lion head type sword has a molded, black, bakelite grip with the correct horizontal silver wire wrap. The grip is in overall good condition with no chips or cracks. The obverse rounded tip, shield shaped, languet shows an embossed Wehrmacht style eagle. The blade is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Eickhorn' from Solingen, the blade is also marked by the distributer 'Linnenbrügger & Ellermann' from Bielefeld. The blade is in very good condition. The scabbard retains most of it’s original black paint, with normal traces of usage and scratches, see photos. Nice original Wehrmacht Officer's Sword in very good condition!

Wehrmacht (Heer) Officier's Sabel (Säbel für Offiziere). Het leeuwenkop type sabel heeft een zwart bakelite handvat met de correcte horizontale zilveren metaaldraad. Het handvat is in goede staat zonder barstjes of beschadigingen. Het schildje op de voorzijde van de pareerstang toont een, in reliëf, Wehrmacht model adelaar. Het lemmet is mooi maker gemarkeerd door de firma 'Eickhorn' uit Solingen. Het lemmet is in goede staat. De schede bevat nog het grootste deel van zijn originele zwarte verf, de schede vertoont normale gebruikssporen en krasjes, zie foto's. Mooi origineel Wehrmacht Officier's Sabel in erg goede staat!
