WH (Heer/Waffen-SS) 'Kuban' Campaign Shield. The Kuban Campaign shield was awarded to personnel, in all branches of service, who had served in the defensive battles in the Crimean peninsula from February 1943 onwards. The shield was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 21 September 1943. The non-magnetic type shield is complete with all 4 integrated side-prongs. The shield is not visible maker marked but is a post-war produced shield, most likely from the company of 'Souval' from Wien (Austria). Priced accordingly!
