Reichskriegsflagge in US Souvernir Box
Nice medium 100x170cms sized 'Reichskriegsflagge' (National War Flag) in US Soldier's mail-home wooden souvernir box. The national war flag was flown on all Kriegsmarine warships, Luftwaffe airfields and all buildings owned by the Wehrmacht. The flag is made of dual-sided printed wool, the flag is having reinforcement stitching and is complete with its original cord with loop. The flag is sized 100x170cms which is a medium size. The flag is nicely maker marked by the 'Plutzar & Brüll K.G.' from Beilitz O/S. The flag is in clearly used condition and showing multiple small damages/holes some small spots and staining but is in overall good condition, see photos. The flag is stored in a wooden souvernir box from a US soldier. US soldiers made these boxes to ship home with souvernirs from the war. The box was sent home by 'Sergeant Lyle V. Mustered' who was a member within the 'HQ.Btry.773 F.H.BN'. The wooden box comes together with the Battle Flag and several other small both US and German insignia and medals/tinnies as found together, see photos. Nice and decorative original display item!
