Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Sword/Saber (Säbel für Offiziere), this is the model 'Wrangel' from the 'Feldmarschall-Serie' by 'Eickhorn'. The sword has a molded, black, bakelite grip with the correct horizontal silver wire wrap. The grip is in overall good condition with no chips or cracks. The obverse rounded tip, shield shaped, languet shows an embossed Wehrmacht style eagle with outstretched wings. The blade is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Eickhorn' in Solingen. The blade is in perfect condition. The scabbard retains most of it’s original black paint, with normal traces of usage and scratches, see photos. Nice original Wehrmacht Officer's Sword in good used condition!
