4th Canadian Armoured Division 'Royal Canadian Electrical Mechenical Engineers' (RCEME) Battle Dress Jacket. The Canadian made Battledress was made according to the British 1937 Pattern. The Battledress was the standard uniform for all Army Personnel, officers and other ranks in the theatres of operations. The markings are fainted but the 1943 dating can stil be seen, the jacket is also marked with a Canadian 'broad-arrow' marking and a number is written inside the jacket. The jacket has been tailor converted into an open V-style collar. The jacket is complete with original period machine-sewn 'R.C.E.M.E.' shoulder titles, 4th Canadian Armoured Division patches and Sergeant chevrons. 5 year service chevrons are period sewn to the lower right sleeve.
