Description

British P40 Battle Dress Jacket (Battledress Blouses 1940 Pattern). The Battledress was the standard uniform for all Army Personnel, officers and other ranks in the theatres of operations. This Battledress jacket is complete with original manufacturer's label, produced by the company 'William Brownlee' from Belfast and dated 1945, the jacket is a size 4. The battle dress is complete with all original applied insignia as intended for a Lance Corporal within the 'Black Watch Regiment'. 'Black Watch' tartans are sewn above British 2nd infantry division patches. Inside the jacket a name is written. This soldier probably served in Burma or British India with the 2nd infantry division. The jacket is complete with original ribbon bar. Nice and interesting original battledress jacket in very good condition!
