Case for a J3 Luftwaffe Pilots Badge (Etui zum Flugzeugführerabzeichen). The Pilot's badge was originally introduced in january 1935 as an DLV (Deutsche Luftsport Verband) award, the Luftwaffe officially adopted the award on 26 march 1936 by order of 'Hermann Göring'. The badge was awarded to Luftwaffe personnel who completed the theory and training and achieved their military pilot’s licence. This is an empty case intended for a 'Juncker' (J3) Pilot's badge,marked with the script 'Luftwaffen-Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen' and complete with velvet inlay. The case is in slightly used condition and showing minimal traces of usage and some damage at the corners. Hard to find original case in very good condition!
