'Deutsches Reich Kennkarte' - Civil Indentification Card. Introduced in July 1938. Every German citizen was issued one, and was expected to show it when asket to by officials. This ID-card belonged to a woman from the area of Schneidemühl, it was issued to her on April 10, 1942. As a result of the war, the town became part of Poland in the spring of 1945 and was renamed Piła. The oilcloth ID-card is in used condition and has been folded, see scans. Nice original example!
