'Deutsches Reich Kennkarte' - Civil Indentification Card. Introduced in July 1938. Every German citizen was issued one, and was expected to show it when asket to by officials. This ID-card belonged to a woman from the area of Leipzig. The oilcloth ID-card was issued to her on 28 September 1940. Nice original example in good condition!
