World War II German "Deutschland Erwache" Standard Pole Top (Standartenadler). The Deutschland Erwache eagle top standarte is one of the most iconic and symbolic items from the Third Reich era. The pole top is consisting of a large black Swastika in a wreath having the early style eagle on top. This example retains much of its original gilded and silver-washed finish, and the swastika in the center of the wreath retains approximately 90% of its black finish. There is some wear to the swastika, with one small ding on the bottom left arm. The pole top is engraved at the bottom of the wreath with the designer 'Otto Gahr' and '1923' on the other side.
