DJ (Deutsche Jungvolk) belt buckle (Koppelschloß). The DJ was the young branch of the Hitler-Jugend, for boys from ten to fourteen years old. The Sigrune was the official emblem of the DJ, it was used on the DJ Box belt buckles from 1933 until 1936 when the HJ buckle began to take over. In 1938 production of the DJ (Sigrune) belt buckle was discontinued altogether. The nickel/silver plated buckle shows a embossed sigrune in natural brass. This is a rare variant with a larger type 'Sigrune'. The buckle is not visible maker marked. Nice original buckle in good used condition!
