Early Wehrmacht MP38/40 Magazine Pouch (MP38 u. MP40 Magazintasche). Soldiers equipped with the MP38/40 were issued a pair of magazine pouches which each held three thirty-two round magazines. This is a right side pouch. This pouch is made of fieldgrey/green coloured canvas with blackened leather straps, the leather straps are in good and still supple condition. The pouch is not visible maker marked or dated, however the pouch is marked on the back with an ink stamp “MP38 u. MP40“. This is a rare early pouch made before 1941, easily recognizable by the D-ring which is sewn in to the upper left corner. Hard to find original early MP38/40 magazine pouch in good used condition!
