French WWI Model 1917 Flare Signal Pistol

Description

Nice original French World War I Model 1917 Flare Signal Pistol. These weapons were used for spotting and communication with artillery and saw common use on the battlefield. It is having two wooden grips. The pistol is marked 'Mod. 1917' and the pistol is nicely marked with the unique number 'C134'. This is a functional pre-1945 produced flare gun, exempted by the Dutch law in Article 18, paragraph 1, in d, annex II of the Rwm (Regeling Wapens en Munitie).
