This is a stunning original Imperial Pilots Badge (Militär-Flugzeugführerabzeichen). The Imperial Pilot's badge was originally introduced on 27 january 1913 by 'Kaiser Wilhelm'. All pilots, regardless of rank, were eligible. This badge is a nice example made of hollow tombac (Buntmetall). The badge is nicely marked with the logo of te company of 'Paul Meybauer' from Berlin. Finding an example marked with the company's logo is extremely rare. The badge shows very nice & pronounced detail overall. The badge has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. Desirable original imperial pilot's badge in very good condition!
