This is a stunning original Imperial Pilots Badge (Militär-Flugzeugführerabzeichen). The Imperial Pilots Badge was originally introduced on 27 january 1913 by 'Kaiser Wilhelm'. All pilots, regardless of rank, were eligible. The badge is a nice example made of silver, it's '800' silver marked. The badge is nicely maker marked with the logo of the company of 'Meybauer' from Berlin. The badge is showing a nice engraving on the back with the text "Gewidmet seiner Gretel. Werner Hennig, 1924" (Dedicated to his Gretel, Werner Hennig, 1924). The badge shows very nice & pronounced detail overall. The badge has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. Desirable original engraved imperial pilot's badge in very good condition!
