German M16 Camouflaged Combat Helmet Shell

Description

German M16 'Mimikri' Camouflage Combat Helmet Shell (Stahlhelmglocke M16). The German M16 Helmet was developed in late 1915 and introduced in the spring of 1916, this was the first modern German steel helmet. The steel construction M16 helmet retains most of its original mimicry camouflage paint in yellow, green and brown colours. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage. The liner is regrettably missing. The shell is marked with maker and size 'G62'. 'G' is indicating production by the 'Gebrüder Gnüchtel, AG' in Lauter (Sachsen). Great looking original German WW1 Camouflaged helmet shell!
