The Officers and certain senior NCO’s could choose to purchase their footwear from the armed forces clothing depots or to privately purchase footwear of higher quality. This is a nice quality privately purchased pair of, tall, brown leather boots (Hohe Stiefel) as worn by members of political organisations like the SA or NSDAP. The boots are not visible maker marked. The leather is still supple. These boots date from the pre-WW2 period and are perfect for a political display. The boots are in used condition showing normal traces of usage, there is some little damage, see photos. Hard to find original period pair of brown leather boots!
