Early Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser) with motto. The blade is maker marked by the company of 'Wilhelm Wagner' from Solingen-Merscheid being a very rare manufacturer. Overall a very nice original early HJ dagger in very good condition!

Description

Early Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser). The 'HJ Fahrtenmesser' (Hike/Camp knife) was introduced in early 1933. The knife has black molded diamond grooved bakelite grips, the obverse grip has an imbedded enameled HJ diamond. The knife comes with its original magnetic sheet metal scabbard, the scabberd still retains most of its original black paint and shows normal traces of usage. The motto 'Blut und Ehre' (Blood & Honour) is engraved on the blade, the blade is in good condition with some staining and traces of usage, see photos. The blade is maker marked by the company of 'Wilhelm Wagner' from Solingen-Merscheid being a very rare manufacturer. The leather buffer pad between the dagger and scabber is missing. Overall a very nice original early HJ dagger in very good condition!
