Wehrmacht K98 M34 Cleaning Kit, complete with contents (Reinigungsgerät 34 mit Inhalt). When issued the K98 came accompanied with assorted accessory items including a sling, a cleaning rod, a protective muzzle cover and a M34 cleaning kit that was officially introduced on 4 September 1934 and was utilized with all bolt action rifles. The metal cleaning kit is nicely maker marked with number '64' indicating production by the company of 'Gustav Appel' from Berlin-Spandau, the manufacturer's code 64 was given to the company of 'G.Appel' by the 'Heeserwaffenamt' around 1939. The kit is complete with a metal oiler, chain and 2 brushes. The metal oiler is matching marked with number '64'. Nice set in good used condition!
