Description
Kriegsmarine Emergency Food Ration Container (Behälter für Notverpflegung). Light-green painted, sheet metal construction container, the container retains about 80% of its original paint and is slightly rusted. The container is sized approximately 13 x 10,5 x 4 cms. The bottom of the container shows the embossed script: "Kriegsmarine, 300 gr Notverpflegung" (300 grams of navy emergency rations). The container is complet with the often missing cloth tab. This is the first light-green example I've encountered. Scarce original box in good used condition!
