Description

Kriegsmarine Minesweeper War Badge (Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungsverbände). The Minesweeper’s war badge was instituted on 31 August 1940 by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral 'Erich Raeder'. The badge is a late war zinc example, the badge is showing great detail and still retains almost all of its original finish. The badge is complete with its functional horizontal pin and catch and top hook, the catch has slightly bent. The badge is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of 'Wilhelm Deumer' from Lüdenscheid. Nice original badge in good used condition!
