Luftwaffe EM/NCO's aluminum belt buckle that comes on its original leather tab (Koppelschloß mit Lederwiderhalt). Originally the EM/NCO’s buckles were produced with a silver finish until a blue/grey version was introduced around mid-1940, and a tropical olive drab version was introduced in late 1940. Nice aluminum construction box buckle. The buckle is not visible maker marked but a typical design for this manufacturer, the leather tab is nicely maker marked by the company of 'St.Merkl' from Nürnberg and dated 1937 being a rarely found manufacturer. The buckle is in clearly worn condition and the stitching from the tab came loose, see photos. Nice original buckle in good used condition!
