LW 'Frontflugspange für Transportflieger' in Gold

Description

Luftwaffe Transport and Glider Squadron Clasp in Gold (Frontflugspange für Transport- und Luftlandeflieger). The Transport and Glider Squadron Clasp was introduced by 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' on 19 November 1941. The clasps were awarded in three grades of, Bronze for twenty operational flights, Silver for sixty operational flights, and Gold for one hundred ten operational flights. This clasp is a nice early 'Buntmetall' (tombak) example. The clasp is not visible maker marked, it can very likely be attributed to production by the company of 'C.E. Juncker' from Berlin. The clasp has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The clasp shows great detail and still retains all of its original golden finish showing polished highlights. Not cheap, but this is the best one I've ever had on offer, impossible to upgarde. Hard to find clasp in stunning mint condition!
