Social Welfare Medal with Swords (Medaille für Deutsche Volkspflege mit Schwertern). On 1 May 1939, Hitler introduced a series of four Social Welfare awards to replace the earlier DRK (Deutsche Rotes Kreuz) awards. This is the fourth class. The medal is a tombac (Buntmetall) example, the details on the piece really pronounced and stunning. The medal comes with its original 12cms long sized ribbon and carton pouch as found together. The pouch is nicely maker marked by the 'Gebr. Godet & Co' from Berlin. Nice original set in very good condition!
