Named WH (Heer) Artillery EM/NCO's Visor Cap

Description

WH (Heer) Artillery EM/NCO Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased visor cap, complete with celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') marked by 'We-El', most likely indicating production by the tailor 'Willy Linsenmaier' from Ulm. There are no visible size markings. The Visor cap is piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Artillery personnel. The cap is complete with its original cocarde, the eagle is a replacement and probably a naval version with one pin. The simulated leather chinstrap is present. The cap is showing clear traces of usage and storage and some small moth damages, unfortunately the sewing of the visor came loose, the visor is however still attached to the cap and it won't be visible in display, see photos. It is up to the buyer to leave it as is or have the visor restored. Inside the cap is an original name tag from Kannonier Vogtsberger who served in the '1.Artillerie-Regiment 41'. The cap comes with its original 1934 dated Jungvolk Membership Card (Mitglieds-Ausweis) which is complete with portrait-photo. Due to the loose visor priced accordingly, but still a nice original named Artillery Visor Cap for a fair price!
