Portrait-Photo of 'Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Alexander von Preußen' (1820-1896) who was a Prussian General of the Infantry. Prince Alexander of Prussia was the eldest child of Prince Frederick of Prussia and his wife, Princess Luise of Anhalt-Bernburg. Clearly visible in the photograph is his 'Knight of the Black Eagle Order' with Collar, his Grand Commander's Cross of the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern amongst others, see scan. The photo dates around 1872 and was developed by 'Hermann Günther' from Berlin. Interesting original photograph!
