Rare Cased Bakelite 6x30 Binoculars 'Dienstglas'
Rare late war Bakelite 6x30 Binoculars or 'Dienstglas' (Doppelfernrohr). The German army used a wide variety of optical enhancement items with the 6 x 30 power binoculars being the standard issue optics utilized by all branches of service. This is a rare set of bakelite binoculars, complete with 'Bakelite' eyecups, the metal parts are painted in the standard late war ordnance tan. The Binoculars are nicely maker marked with 'cxn' indicating production by the company of 'Emil Busch AG' from Rathenow. The binoculars also bears the inscription: 'Dienstglas 6x30' and the unique number '411148'. The often missing two metal rings on the bottom of the optics are still present as well, only the small screws on the bottom are missing, see photos, this is not visible in display or these can easily be replaced from another binoculars. The binoculars are complete with original leather carrying strap as found together. The binoculars are in good used condition with some minor damage and/or repair to the bakelite as is often seen with these fragile binoculars. They will however display perfectly. The binoculars are still stored in their matching specific type leather storage case, matching marked with 'cxn' as well. The storage case is showing some small damage to one of the belt loops, see photos. This set was just recently found in Germany and is in uncleaned condition as found. Rare original bakelite binoculars which will be perfect for use on a late war mannequin set-up!
