Rare green-coloured 'Afrika' Cufftitle
Rare original green-coloured 'Afrika' Cufftitle (Ärmelband). The 'Afrika' cufftitle was introduced on 15 January 1943 and held the status of a campaign award, since the cufftitle was considered a military combat decoration, it was awarded with a corresponding award document (and entries in the 'Soldbuch' and/or 'Wehrpass'). The cufftitle was to be worn on the right lower arm (except greatcoats). The cufftitle measures approximately 38cms in length. The cufftitle is made of green coloured cotton and features the in silver/grey thread machine embroidered script: 'Afrika', flanked by palm trees. It is in clearly worn and tunic removed condition. It is nicely faded to tan on front, caused by wear on the tunic in the tropical climate. This is really scarce original variant and would look great in an early Afrika display. Rare and hard to find original cufftitle!
