Rare Wehrmacht 1st pattern white winter boots (Winterstiefeln 42). Winter boots were originally introduced after the first devastating winter in Russian as the standard leather marching boots didn’t provide the warmth required in the extreme cold. This is a rarely seen first pattern winter boots as introduced in 1942, the white canvas construction winter boots are nicely maker marked by the 'Bata' company and dated 1942. The boots are in overall good used condition with normal traces of usage and showing some staining and minor damage, see photos. The leather soles are complete with original leather discs. This is the first pair I've ever had on offer, not many of these first pattern boots survived the strong Russian winters. Rare original first pattern pair of winter boots in good used condition!
