'Sudetenland' Postcard
This is a nice original colourful postcard of the annexation of the Sudetenland. The 'Munich Agreement', which was concluded on 30 September 1938, provided "cession to Germany of the Sudeten German territory" of Czechoslovakia. The Sudetenland was a region of western Czechoslovakia inhabited by more than 3 million people, mainly German speakers. The card shows an artistic image of the territory of the Sudetenland with a picture of Adolf Hitler being greeted by people, in very vibrant colours (the gold is shiny, however hardly visible on the scans). This postcard was published by 'Kunstanstalt Bren d'Amour Simhart & Co' from München. The card is in good unsent condition and measures approximately 15 x 10,5 cm. in size. Nice and decorative original postcard!
