This is a nice original printed 'Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht' Armband. This is a late war printed on linnen armband, as worn by the in september 1944 raised Volkssturm (People's militia). The Volkssturm consisted of all men between the ages of sixteen and sixty years old, who were not in the military. The armband was to be worn by all 'Volkssturm' personnel on the upper left sleeve. This armband was taken as a souvernir from the war by a US soldier who wrote on the inside "Germany, April 14 1945". The armband is showing some staining but is in overall good condition. Nice piece of history!
