Waffen-SS Dot Pattern 'Panzer' Trousers
Waffen-SS M44 Dot Pattern 'Panzer' HBT Camouflage Trousers (Panzer Tarnhose M44). The M44 dot pattern (Erbsentarnmuster) camouflage uniform, consisting of a field blouse and pants was officially introduced on 1 March 1944. This is a specific pattern intended for 'Panzer' personnel The trousers have two, diagonally angled, front pockets and a small watch pocket. The wearer at some point removed the internal waist belt buckle by sewing a button to the waist. The trousers are not visibly marked which probably washed out with the time. The pants are in heavily combat worn condition being faded and showing clear traces of usage and damages and (paint)staining, see photos. These pants would make a great combat "Invasionsfront" (Normandy) Panzer display!
