WH (Heer) Artillery Obergefreiter's Tunic

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) early style tunic as intended for an 'Obergefreiter' within Artillery Regiment 26. This is a nice quality, 'privately purchased', early style field-grey wool tunic with dark-green collar. The buttons are all the nickel-silver pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with all original applied insignia, including a nicely hand-embroiderd breast-eagle, shoulder straps of the sew-in type and nicely machine-sewn collar tabs. Both the collar tabs and shoulder-straps are piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating the 'Artillerie' (Artillery). The shoulder-straps are showing the neatly hand-embroiderd regimenatel numerals '26' indicating that this Obergefreiter served within the 'Artillerie-Regiment 26'. An 'Obergefreiter' rank insignia and a red coloured signal blitz (Tätigkeitsabzeichen für Nachrichtenpersonal) are nicely hand-sewn to the wearer's left sleeve. The tunic is in overall good used condition with some minor moth damage and some staining, see photos for details. The tunic comes together with an original First Grade Shooting Lanyard (Schützenschnur 1.Stufe) as found together. Nice original early red piped Artillery tunic in good used condition!
