Description

WH (Heer) Award-Document Grouping from Unteroffizier 'Herbert Klemm', he was a member within the '2./Gren.Rgt.552' (Grenadier-Regiment 552). The grouping is consisting of 4 Award-Documents (Urkunden), all in (DIN) A5 size. Herbert was wounded on 17 July 1941 and was awarded with the Wound Badge in Black on 25 May 1942. Herbert was awarded with the Ostmedal (Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42) on 30 July 1942. On 12 September 1942 Herbert was again wounded and was awarded with the Wound Badge in Silver on 7 October 1942. Finally he was awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd Class on 10 September 1943, this document is personally signed by General der Infanterie 'Viktor von Schwedler', von Schwedler was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. All four documents have been folded, see photos. Interesting original grouping!
