WH (Heer) General Staff Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased Officer's example, the celluloid manufacturer's sweat-diamond ('Raute') is present and maker marked by tailor 'Hut-Lang' from Kaiserslautern. The Visor cap is piped in the carmine-red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for either General Staff or Veterinarian personnel. The simulated leather sweatband is in used and slightly damaged condition, see photos. The cap is complete with its original cap eagle and aluminum cocarde. The cap is having an officer's type chinstrap. The cap is showing normal traces of usage and some (moth)damages, mainly on the dark green center band on the reverse, see photos. The cap is having a great shape. Great and scarce original General Staff Officer's Visor Cap in good used condition!
