WH (Heer) M35 DD Combat Helmet
Wehrmacht (Heer) Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its typical early field grey/green paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in very good condition with some minor damage and scratches caused by usage, both decals are retained for about 90/95%. The Heer decal is the so-called 'Big-Foot' decal typical for this manufacturer. All three liner retaining rivets are intact and are showing the typical early apple-green colour. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact. The early liner is having a reinforced aluminum liner ring. The liner ring is maker marked by the 'Schuberth Werk K.G.' from Braunschweig and dated 1939. The original liner cord is present. The shell is marked with maker and size 'Q66' which indicates production by the company 'F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H.' from Esslingen. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '4499'. The helmet is complete with an original early brown leather chinstrap with aluminum roller-buckle and studs. The chinstrap is nicely maker marked and dated 1936, some paint residu is visible on the strap. Nice and honest original early WH (Heer) M35 DD Helmet in very good condition!
