Wehrmacht (Heer) M35 Reissued Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey woodchip camouflage overpaint. The original early colour is clearly visible beneath the fieldgrey overpaint. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage, see photos. A standard Heeres decal is applied to the left side of the helmet, the decal is retained for about 95%. Remains of a national shield decal can be seen on the other side. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 leather liner with reinforced aluminum liner-ring, the leather has been treated with grease once for better preservation. The liner ring is dated 1939. The liner is missing the drawstring. The shell is marked with maker and size 'NS64' which indicates production by the 'Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG' from Schwerte. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '5622'. Nice original reissued M35 combat helmet in good condition!
